camera. [for heather.]

i don't know the best was to get back to you, so hopefully you'll see this:

i bought the rebel xti, but wasn't too sure about it. i have some friends who love it, and i'm sure i could have gotten used to it, but i currently shoot with a nikon film camera... so i'm more familiar with how nikons work.

i did some research and went to best buy to play around with the nikon d80, and i really liked the way it worked, so i decided to get that and return the rebel xti.

just as an fyi to anyone who reads this:
if you want a rebel, check out costco. they have the best deal that i could find. i believe they sometimes have other cameras as well, but generally, i just see the rebel there.

if you want something else, like a d80 or any supplies, check bhphotovideo.com which was recommended by my photography professor as a good resource for us to buy all of our film stuff. they have really good deals on cameras too. and believe me, i am a total skeptic about shopping online... i resist it as much as possible, but i have been totally happy with both my orders from them. [one for film supplies, one for my camera.]

in other news, i only got two hours of sleep sunday night because i was still working on my molecular paper. procrastination. ugh. something i always say i will work on not doing, but always do it anyway. :-/

now i have my cell paper due thursday, which of course i haven't started yet. but i am hoping to motivate myself to read and work on writing a few pages tonight. then if i'm lucky, i'll be motivated to finish it up tomorrow and get a good sleep. :]

i can't believe this semster will be done soon. i'm super excited, but also realizing that i only have one more year, which is slightly scary because then i have to "start my life" haha. this time next year will definitely be a crazy time in my life... i'll be finishing up my thesis and getting ready to say goodbye to some of my college friends. ack. so strange to think about.

i'm hoping this summer will be a fun one. it should be. [almost anything will top last summer though.] i'm excited to start my education class in a couple weeks. [i'll have one week for break because my finals get over early.] education, or well... teaching, is always something i've been kind of interested in, so i think this class will be a good one as far as helping me really see if i am interested.

anyway, i hope the week is going well for all of you!

It seems like the best way to go is to stick with the brand you had in film- you may also be able to use any lenses you had for film.
That's exciting that you got the D80- it's a really good camera. I have a couple of friends who recently bought it.
