snow.

we've been getting an insane amount of snow here for the past week. we had a break for a few days, but it's been coming down again the past couple days. here are some photos from the initial storm...



helix loves the snow. he doesn't usually like to stay out in it for too long, but he definitely enjoys attempting to run through it. it's pretty cute. :]

otherwise, my anatomy final on thursday was pretty tricky. my professor made a departure from the style of the previous three exams, so although i prepared for it quite well, it was still hard. i did well enough to keep my A in the class though. i've heard repeatedly that the second semester is easier than the first and that there is less cadaver time in the lab, so that's exciting news.

last night, i decided to venture out of the house with james and some friends. one of james' good friends was fighting in the mixed martial arts fight at the grand sierra. he did really well. so well that i had to look away several times because i couldn't handle watching it. it was quite the experience to see a fight like that live. james has been wanting to go to the ufc fights when we're in vegas, but i usually convince him otherwise. haha.

after the fight, we ended up going downtown to the third street bar. it was snowing pretty hard outside by then, so it was kind of fun to look out the windows to see the snow falling while we were warm inside. :]


oh and i finally joined the gym. i've been going to the classes, and i really like them. since i'm not very motivated to workout on my own, attending a class is ideal for me. i can't give up and leave half way through, so i end up working pretty hard. :]

that's about all for recent news. i'm really hoping to be able to do some christmas shopping tomorrow. but i also want to go to the renegade craft fair in san francisco right before christmas, and it would be fun to buy some gifts there. if only it weren't so close to christmas. ack. either way, i just really need to get out of the house tomorrow. with all the snow, cabin fever is setting in pretty badly!
