so. i met josh freshmen year. i had this 8:00am honors seminar class, and he was in it.
throughout the semester we became pretty good friends.
he plays the guitar and sings. i've watched him play many times at open mic nights and such.
then.
he called the other day to say he had a show at electronic espresso with a full band saturday night.
it's been a while since i've been able to watch him play, so of course i decided to go.
it turns out that two of the members of his band are clint and andy.
ah.
so weird.
so there were a lot of fallon people there that have for some reason decided they don't like me, and i am not someone who should be acknowledged. ha. whatevs. erin, liz, and i went together, and some of josh's other friends were there who i know. so we ended up having a really good time. we were the only ones who really knew the songs, so we were the only ones who were singing along and clapping and just having a genuine good time.
afterwards, liz, erin, and i decided that we wanted to go to seven. it's a little tea bar downtown. pretty fun to just get a pot of tea and hang out. we mentioned it to josh and some of his friends, so they came too. so we had a big pot of tea and there were anywhere from about 12 of us around this big table. i soon realized i was sitting around the table with logan miller and jj billett. how funny. and somehow we got to talking about how we learned each other's names thoughout the night. logan said that he knew my name, and i was curious to know if he actually remembered me, or had just picked it up that night. so i was asking him... and finally, he goes, "no. i remember your name because i got your phone number a while back at a show." HA. so awkward. i had completely forgotten about that.
but it turned out to be a really fun night.
and i think liz might be mildly interested in this boy nate, who is friends with james, but also friends with josh. it's kind of funny because i was hanging out with him last night at james' house, and then again tonight at the show and seven, which are just two completely different crowds of people.
i guess i'm a little sad because i wanted to meet up with james tonight, but he was out with all his friends. i was trying to convince him to hang out with me instead, but it just wasn't woking. ah well. he said he'll bring me lunch tomorrow, so we'll see.
oh. and here's a little video just because we discussed sufjan over tea. he is supposed to make an album for all 50 states and we were just talking about how fabulous the nevada album could be. HA.
