can't beat the beats.

i've been getting scrapping mojo in *very* small bursts, which is not good.
i have a project that i need to finish asap. and another one that i really would like to have done before i leave. ack.

i've been looking for inspiration in all kinds of places...

1. music.
specifically, the new atmosphere cd. this is where the post title comes from. :] seriously... the beats are all pretty amazing.
james got me hooked when we first met. his new cd is a little bit different than the old stuff, but i'm totally rocking out to it. ha.
[it's a bit "uncensored" or i would post some on my blog. ha.]

2. shopping.
yesterday and today. yesterday was fun. today was frustrating. i can't find any black pants that i like that aren't too long for me. ugh. i have a few pairs that require heals, and i don't think i want to wear heals in chicago. i was hoping to find some that would pair well with flats, but it's not happening.
anyway. yesterday, i did find this beauty at j. crew. there was one left. it was my size. i took it as a sign. i think it will be my new favorite.

and look.
the sweater even sort of matches my studio.

so yeah.
it was meant to be, right?
ha.

3. photography.
i recently pulled out my final portfolio from my photography course. sigh. i miss it. i want to get back into it. there is something so cool and inspiring about film photography. and i'm afraid it's becoming a lost art. i really enjoyed looking at my portfolio though. i need to get those photos out of the silly portfolio on onto the wall.

unfortunately, none of those things are really getting me in the mood to scrap. maybe i should try a little sewing... or give up for the night and just go read. ha.
