read. read. read.

i made huge progress on my book at work today.
i still haven't decided if i like it or not. there are lines that i really like, but the overall story... not too sure. and since i'm not totally loving it... it's taking a little while to finish. but i'm trying to finish it before i leave because it's a hardcover, and i'd rather take a soft cover on the plane with me for the sake of my already-going-to-be-too-heavy-for-my-shoulder bag. :]
& no. i can't just take another book with me. i cannot read more than one book at a time.
& & i also cannot stop reading a book in the middle when i'm not sure if i like it or even if i don't think i like it at all. i don't know why really... i just feel the need to finish what i start, even if it takes a few weeks. that's just me.

what else...

wii fit.
my abs hurt. but i just love getting that little daily stamp on the calendar. ha.

wednesday.
james and i went to carson.
the first stop was the scrapbook store, where i *finally* found the whole heidi grace beyond the sea collection. i'm pretty sure that i squealed with delight when donna jean said they had it. oh. so. pretty.
& & james was a trooper at the scrapbook store. so nice.
then we went to his parents' house. his mom cooked korean food for us. i think i mentioned that the night of kwon's restaurant opening was the first time i tried korean food [and fell in love]. well. i went another step with some encouragement from james' parents and tried some kimchi last night.
"oh no. it's not spicy."
silly me. i should have gone with my gut feeling on that one, but i'm trying to be more adventurous and try new foods because james thinks my eating habits are boring. so in an attempt to make him proud and test myself... i almost died.
ok. not quite. but i did have to hide the tears that the kimchi brought fourth. whoa. seriously. whoa. i didn't want them to notice that i was about to get up and run to the sink to stick my head under the faucet, so i tried to just get it down. and i did. but i don't think i'll take on that adventure again. :]

monday night.
we did not have pizza. on our way to get pizza, we made a last minute left turn and went to kwon's restaurant. even after last night, i'm still not sick of bulgogi. :]

tonight.
i need to print the rest of my photos for a project and get to work!
so off i go.

I can't believe you tried kim chi! You are seriously brave. :)

What book are you reading? I'm reading 'Vanity Fair' right now and while I'm enjoying it well enough, it's definitely not a fast read. & the language is old fashioned which means I go a little slower anyways.

When do you go to Chicago? That will be so fun!
